Sheppard Dance Company runs Dance classes based out of the Waiau Hall, with a focus on building confidence and dance skills both on and off the stage.

Term 4 of 2026 is going to be run slightly differently to other terms.
For school-age classes, we are going to trial online videos to practice each week, for the first 4 weeks. From the 11th of November, the last 5 weeks will be classes in the Waiau Hall in person, with the first four of those weeks focusing on integrating the skills learnt into a dance for the Hanmer Santa Parade (Friday 4th December). The last week (Wednesday 9th December) we will have a dance party/disco to celebrate all the hard work, play games ect.

Preschool music and movement classes will be run on Thursday mornings 9.30 till 10.30 with a mix a free play/exploration and songs with different sensory opportunities and actions. These classes will run from the 12th of November till the 10th of December.
