Who we are

Sheppard Dance began in August 2023 after Rachel moved to the area and saw an opportunity to create something special for the local community. Having grown up dancing, Rachel has a lifelong love for dance and finds great joy in sharing that passion with tamariki in the community.

With Molly leading our preschool music and movement sessions, and Olivia teaching our Acro classes, Sheppard Dance continues to grow and expand what it offers. Together, our team is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where every dancer feels welcome.

Rachel is passionate about keeping dance accessible and affordable for all families. Outside of dance shoes, the only cost to families is the term fee. Rachel provides the majority of costume pieces, and performances are entry by donation only. Inclusivity, confidence, and community sit at the heart of everything we do at Sheppard Dance.
